Most of my swords are purple. 70k cheaper, does exactly the same once I mod it to my liking.

Crom has the right idea that purples rarely drop max mods, which is why purples were undesirable. Of course, that's all changed.

some ppl say price would be based on rarity...

buuut...
technically, wouldnt it be rite to say that an r9 purple perfect is more rare?

i find r9 perfect golds quite often...
but have only came across a few perfect r9 purples 0__o
i always laugh at teh oddity whenever i obtain one, because i do think its a rare occurence

tbh, i dun think purples should be capable of attaining perfect status
but thats jus me -___-'

so...i think its more bout vanity than rarity really
(unless r9 perfect purps r indeed less rare than r9 perfect golds)

edit: oh btw, who thinks that teh colour of ur weapons should be shown when u ping ur weapon?
(like teh colour of teh weapon on chat window instead of jus teh plain text colour)
and also when u hover, it will display stats

i r cunfuzd

Anyway...Any "perfect" purple weapon is inscribed. If it's got a perfect damage modifier, r9 max, it's gold if it's noninscribed.

I mean if you don't care about weapon color, just buy max purples - people sell 'em lower for rarity/vanity reasons... and sell your gold ones :P.
Aren't there max perfect blues too?

req and damage have nothing to do with calculating rarity. It's the inherent value and the mods equipped when the item is created that determine this. So yes, you can get a req 9 blue 15^50 item, but it didn't drop that way.

The skin changes with rarity on some weapons.
